When should I wash my hands?
We are all taught now to wash our hands every time we use the toilet. To avoid disease, it is also essential to wash your hands:
- Before handling food
- Before eating
- After playing with a pet
- After changing a nappy or helping a small child in the toilet
- After cleaning up blood, faeces or vomit
- After wiping your own nose or that of a young child
- After cleaning up pet faeces or vomit
- After taking rubbish to the bin
